Butcher and the Farmer is a unique inner-city destination for food and wine, and an integral part of the historic Glebe Tramsheds restoration and redevelopment.

How we entice
Our menus feature honest, simple food, including whole animals roasted over coals, house-made charcuterie and vegetables and meats smoked in our Southern Pride smoker. Choose your meal from our list of prime Butchers Cuts and you’ll know not only the breed of the animal and where it was raised but also what it was fed.
Why we do what we do
Chef Jared Ingersoll has long embraced a farm-to-table philosophy but at Butcher and the Farmer he’s amplified that commitment, working directly with farmers who are passionate about flavour and fastidious in their production.
Where we are located
Flooded with natural light and opening onto parkland, our beautifully designed restaurant space, which includes a restored vintage tram, blends organic textures of timber, marble, tile and stone with warm natural tones.
