Different Dishes ready to serve with wines

The best Sunday roast Sydney has to offer is now at Butcher and the Farmer Tramsheds

Is it even really winter if you’re not sitting in front of a plate stacked with tender roasted meat, baked veggies and a hearty dollop of creamy mash? The answer is of course not – which is why, right at this moment, you’re probably wondering, “where can I find a delicious Sunday roast near me immediately?”

Well, if you’re anywhere near Butcher and the Farmer Tramsheds you’re in luck. From 25 August until 29 September, we’re taking Sunday roast in Sydney to a whole new level with an incredible three-course Sunday lunch or dinner that will rival your Dad’s famous roast.

So if you’re looking for the best Sunday roast in Sydney this winter, here’s what you’ll find on the menu at Butcher and the Farmer.

Starters

Whet your appetite with our signature dark sourdough bread topped with lashings of sea-salted butter and artisan marinated olives on the side.

The Roast

The pièce de résistance is a modern take on the classic Sunday roast, prepared with the highest quality produce and roasted to an irresistibly juicy finish.

Our slow-cooked lamb shoulder is sourced from Great Southern Lamb, where the lambs are raised in some of Australia’s most prestigious farming country, enjoying the luxury of a cool temperate climate. Sprawling natural pastures provide an optimal free range environment and a continuous plane of nutrition, which translates to an exceptional flavour profile of the meat.

Complementing our Sunday roast is all the trimmings: crispy fried Brussels Sprouts with cauliflower puree and pomegranate, roasted carrots with tzatziki, radicchio, pistachios and honey, and impossibly creamy buttered mash – all topped with a generous helping of lamb jus.

Dessert

Of course, no good Sunday roast is complete without a warming sweet treat to finish off your meal, and you’ll enjoy exactly that with our apple crumble with cinnamon poached apple and ginger and oat crumble, rum and raisin ice-cream, and a drizzle of caramel.

And to polish off your Sunday roast…

…why not pick a glass of something special from our drinks menu? For the wine appreciators, we recommend a full-bodied red like a 2016 O’Leary Walker Clare Valley cab sav. If brews are more your thing, keep it classic pub roast-style with a schooner of Young Henry’s Newtowner or 4 Pines Kolsch.
